I am writing to share the history and specifications of our customized 2007 Dodge Sprinter (Mercedes) van, which we have owned since 2018. Originally used as a professional plumbing vehicle, I spent over a year beginning in 2019 working with my friend, a master carpenter to convert it into a fully equipped, live-aboard travel home designed for both professional photo tours and personal adventure.

The interior features high-quality craftsmanship, including tongue-and-groove pine walls and ceilings, hardwood floors, and custom countertops. Key features of the build include:

– Living Space: A queen bed with 6-inch foam that converts into bench sofas for daytime use, complemented by custom shelving and ample storage.

– Kitchen & Bath: A full kitchen with a refrigerator/cooler, a two-burner propane stove, and a sink with running water that doubles as an outdoor shower. The van also includes a composting toilet( could be converted to a canister).

– Power & Utilities: A solar-powered system supporting multiple 110v outlets, 12v switches, USB ports, and integrated lighting. It also includes removable blackout covers for the windows and mosquito screening for the slider and rear doors.

Regarding maintenance, we have been strictly proactive, using only OEM Mercedes parts and documenting all repairs. This includes a complete engine replacement in 2021 (the current engine has 165,000 miles) to ensure continued reliability for long-distance travel.
