Woodland Van Co. is based in Nashville, TN, and was founded in 2018 by Mike McCaffrey, the sole owner, operator, and builder behind the company.

With a background in carpentry, formal training in off-grid solar energy systems from Solar Energy International, and a passion for hands-on projects, Mike embarked on his first van conversion with the goal of living the van life dream. Along the way, he discovered a deeper love for the build process itself, and that passion has only grown stronger over time. Now, he channels his expertise into creating custom van conversions for others who are ready to take the leap into van life.

Mike’s mission is to bring his experience and dedication to every build, crafting vans that are designed to last and equipped to handle the adventures ahead. Whether you’re chasing sunsets or exploring the unknown, Woodland Van Co. is here to help you build the home on wheels you’ve always dreamed of.

We believe that less is more. Everything you need, nothing you don’t. Rather than building each of our vans with a high degree of customization, we focus on simplicity. We want to offer a van that you spend less time maintaining so you can spend more time doing the things you love.

To accomplish this, we stick to our template floor plan. However, our clients can leave their own personal touch to express their personalities by collaborating on interior design aesthetic. Not to mention, our ever expanding list of optional upgrades will have you outfitted for your lifestyle.

How much will my van build cost?

The cost of your van build depends on several factors, including the make and model of your van and any optional upgrades you choose. After you submit our Build Form, we’ll provide you with a detailed quote. We do our best to work within our customers' budgets, and our most budget-friendly option can be found on our Base Package page.

Do you offer financing?

Not at this time, but we are actively working on it. In the meantime, we recommend exploring personal loan options to secure the best possible rate. If you need any documents from us to assist with the process, we’re happy to provide them.

How long will it take to complete my van?

The timeline depends on the optional upgrades you choose for your van. On average, our builds have a 2-3 month turnaround, though this may vary. Throughout the process, we’ll keep you updated so you can plan accordingly.

Do you provide the van of my choice?

No, we require all customers to purchase their own van and have it delivered to our location. This approach offers several benefits, including the ability to finance the van separately, shop around for the best price, and choose the exact features that meet your needs. We can also help you source a van.

Do you offer custom builds?

Yes and no. We primarily adhere to our template floor plans to ensure efficiency and timely delivery of your build. However, we do allow slight modifications to accommodate your specific lifestyle needs. If you have custom requests, the best way to determine feasibility is to reach out to us directly.

Do you offer individual services and partial builds?

This is will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Depending on our full-build schedule we may be able to accommodate your individual product installs or a partial build. Contact us to see if we can help and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

Do you offer any kind of warranty on my build?

Yes, we provide a one-year warranty on all of our builds. This warranty covers only the components and features that we fabricate and manufacture. Any third-party products we purchase and install are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties. However, rest assured that we thoroughly test all products to ensure reliability and minimize the need for replacements.
